This is one of many gourmet meals I cooked on my 2017 Appalachian Trail thru hike. Not only is this recipe lightweight its also quick and easy. It can easily be adapted as a freezer bag meal. Enjoy! Trail Jambalaya: 1/3 Cup Instant Rice 3 Tbsp Dehydrated Refried Beans 1 Tbsp Freeze Dried Corn 2 tsp Dehydrated Bell Peppers 1 tsp Dehydrated Onions 1/2 tsp Creole Seasoning 3 oz Sausage, sliced 1 Cup Water -Bring water, rice mix, and sauce to a full boil.
