They live together at the bottom, mountains, the valleys, along streams. Growing rice is the major profession of the Giay. Besides, they also produce instruments and engraved silver. The Giay have quite various cultures with fairy-tale, poetry, proverbs and riddles. Costumes of the Giay are simple: women with short eczema, wearing cloth bag with embroidered flowers; man also wears pants and shirt. Giang Ta Chai village is home to the Red Dzao who wear plain black trousers and a long black tunic with embroidered cuffs and lapels. To trek to Giang Ta Chai, you will set off on an 18km trek through terraced rice paddies, bamboo forest and stunning waterfalls.
