Shear force diagrams and Bending moment diagrams

This video shows how to calculate the shear force diagrams and bending moment diagrams of a bar under some concentrated loads. I allude to the formulas dM/dx = V at the end, but solve for the values from scratch by drawing and analyzing many free body diagrams. The approach is to: 1) Find reaction forces (using a free body diagram) 2) Make cuts along your beam at every section that is separated by a concentrated/distributed load 3) Compile results after using equilibrium conditions 4) Plot results.
