TANNER - The international Freudenberg youth exchange scheme HD

05.10.2016
The international Freudenberg TANNER youth exchange scheme was initiated in 1999. Since then, its first participants – the former 14 to 20-year old children of Freudenberg employees all over the world - have already started their own career and many of them, having completed their first training or accepted their first job, can now profit from their experience with TANNER. The scheme gave young people the opportunity to visit other Freudenberg locations and learn how to deal with strange and new situations. They established contacts and managed to survive in another language zone. All of these requirements have become common in today’s world of employment, with its increasingly international alignment. Today, the success of TANNER cannot be expressed in numbers alone: since its beginning, more than 1,100 of our employees’ children found a temporary second home in the house of another Freudenberg family, where they could enjoy meeting a different culture. The young participants, as well as the parents and host families, developed a stronger feeling of being a member of the worldwide Freudenberg community. Across all borders, hierarchies, divisions and companies, contacts were established and – often with considerable personal effort – also maintained long after the end of the journey. A dense network of TANNER contact partners all over the world provides professional support for this unique form of international co-operation within Freudenberg.
