Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis. Did you watch this movie? It took place where I live. If you thought French is hard to understand maybe you never spoke to a Ch’ti! We use strange words with a a strong but nice accent. But don’t worry, it’s not that hard. Let’s discover the unofficial language spoken in Northern France by people who used to work in mines. You will definitely have lot of fun trying to pronounce this language. I will teach you words in Ch’ti and what they mean. You’ll be able to understand some jokes and maybe sing in Ch’ti with me. Be careful, it’s only spoken in Northern France, so don’t try to speak with a person from Marseille, they’ll never understand you.
