How to Activate Free SSL Certificate in Bluehost HD

In this tutorial, you will learn How to Activate a Free SSL Certificate on your WordPress website. In this example, I have a domain hosted with Bluehost. With my webhosting with Bluehost, I get a free SSL certificate. However, I need to activate the SSL certificate on my domain. If I don’t active it, it will display a warning message on browsers like Firefox or Google Chrome. The warning message will indicate something like “Connection is not secure”. This is not good for building trust with visitors as well as for Google Ranking. However, activating an SSL certificate in Bluehost is simple: (1) log into your Bluehost account; (2) go to the WordPress Tools section; (3) next, click on the Security tab (in the left side bar); (4) choose your website (from the drop-down menu); (5) and finally, click on the ON button to activate the SSL certificate. This process can take a few hours, but once it’s activated, you will see a green button. Now, when visitors visit your website, they will get a “Secure Connection” message which is a good thing.
