Peaches - Sweet, Gentle, Paralysed Puppy HD

Peaches, a 2mth old girl, was rescued from Pioneer Road. A kind member of the public found her, unable to walk, dragging herself slowly across the road. The poor girl was the victim of an accident - a serious one which has left her pelvis crushed, involving her bladder and other organs. This girl is so precious. Despite being in immense pain , she remains friendly, hopeful, still trying to walk on her little front legs. Peaches is very fortunate to have loving fosterers who are looking after her, and bringing her for regular medical reviews and hydrotherapy, which is being kindly sponsored by PawPhysio and Ms Judy Mullar. Her vet specialist tells us that her left hind leg is recovering well - she just needs some physiotherapy to strengthen it. Unfortunately, her right hind leg has lost all ifs functions and sensation. When she grows older, it is likely that she requires an amputation of the right hind leg, so that she may continue to live a reasonable quality of life. Peaches will require long term medical care, follow ups and surgeries. A case like hers, involves recurring medical costs until she gets adopted, IF she gets adopted - it is not easy to find a home for a dog with special needs, and we rely on kind fosterers to provide them living space, while SOSD continues to pay for their expenses.
