Available both in training and in competitive conditions. It is extremely difficult to assert their homeland and time of occurrence tug of war as a sport. Perhaps it originated in the Navy as an auxiliary exercise for pulling the anchor out of the water, perhaps the motives and reasons were different. We know that in England tug cultivated the sport past 500-600 years. And by the way, the World Games mountaineers annually held in the Scottish city of Braemar Castle, is mandatory for tug of war. Interesting is the fact that these Games, according to etiquette, always present Queen and personally follows the struggle of the strongest teams. Accept, dear viewers, that even a few Olympic sports increased attention given to such famous historical persons. On the Olympic Games. Tug to 1920 was an Olympic sport. And today is actively working to return tug - very spectacular sport in the Olympic program:  International Federation members are already over 50 national federations and sport geography is constantly expanding;  held world championships, continental championships both outdoors and in the halls. These competitions are held in Europe, Asia, Africa and America. Ukrainian athletes are taking the first steps on the international stage - take part in competitions and conferences.
