Pak Da trap in Chi Sao
Some quick clips strung together demonstrating a basic Pak sao/Gum da (slap hand/pinning hand and strike) from the Chi Sao (sticking hands) roll. Chi Sao is used to help a practitioner develop the contact reflex necessary to be able to deal with physical obstruction or engagement by an opponent. The energy that is exerted by an opponent in defence is used against them. The obstructions are then removed or "trapped" to clear the line for an attack. In this case, a vertical fist punch.
