CLNJ 2019 Premier league Final: Smashers vs Freedom HD

Smashers Cricket Club beat Freedom Cricket Club by 17 runs in a nail biting final. Freedom won the toss and elected to field on a slow turning pitch. Nevin Stewart the former West Indies first class all-rounder was the only batsman who could figure out the pitch as he scored 58 runs with 8 sixes but Smashers could only muster 133 runs. Freedom started slow and kept on losing their wickets. Sagar Patel tried to play an anchor role but the stifling bowling from Smashers spinners kept on taking wickets and eventually won the game and the final by 17 runs.
