PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – This canvas painting tutorial will take you through easy step-by-step instructions on how to draw and paint this enchanting and romantic still life image painting of "CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES” with acrylic paint. I love food. I enjoy cooking, watching cooking shows on the Television like Chopped and all the seasonal baking shows on the Food Network, and I can’t help but to associate an occasion or holiday with the food that comes with it. When I think of Christmas, biscotti and peppermint ice cream come to mind; Halloween means Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Easter conjures up images of baked ham in my head, grilled sausages for Memorial Day, carrot cake for my birthday, and, of course, chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine’s Day. It’s been said that the “Quickest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”, well, the same can be said for me when it comes to this chocolaty fruity goodness. Symbolizing the sweetness of life, love and purity, these delectable treats are my go-to snack. Easy and fun to make at home—just get a few strawberries, dip them in warm wafer chocolate, swirl around once to remove excess chocolate, place them on parchment paper, and wait a few minutes to cool and harden and Viola! One of life’s simplest pleasures made in minutes! So pretty to look at and yet so satisfyingly delicious, they are like little works of art unto themself. The problem is that this type of art won’t last long in my house that’s for sure. So, join me and paint with acrylics this exciting, fun and easy still life image and capture the essence of this divine decadent treat that will surely look good enough to eat! The first lesson you’ll learn in this easy beginner painting tutorial is how to blend colors to create a soft off-white tan which you’ll tone the whole canvas with to create a warm neutral background. The perfect backdrop for your succulent snack. After learning how to draw strawberries using an easy dot-to-dot method, you’ll use primary colors and a directional brushstroke to paint a base coat for your fruit and chocolate to work off of. Then you’ll paint highlights and shadows to the strawberries and chocolate for added depth and texture, creating rich and deep form and contours giving them a 3-D appearance like a photograph to make them pop off the canvas. You’ll then add final details to the seasonal fruit, seeds and leaves with ease. You’ll finish your classic edible masterpiece with your own personal signature. Using only 3 brushes, and 6 colors, and only one brush per step, you’ll create the best canvas painting in the world! Paint loosely and make it an abstract painting, paint with oils and make it fine art, use bold outlines, yellows and red and make it pop art! Not just an inspirational painting that would look great in your kitchen, restaurant, or bedroom, but an easy painting for beginners. Paint at home, alone, or with friends! Have a date night, paint party, or virtual paint night. Paint
