When Loki returns he’s changed forever by his time in space. He’s something stronger, darker, and very damaged. What’s a newly crazy man to do when he catches his lover with someone else? He tries to kill him, of course, many times. Deep down he still loves Thor, so takes a killing blow for him. He fakes his death, and Thor is left to mourn him a second time. When Loki attacks New York, he is captured by Tony Stark.
