“The Equestrian Pink Heart of Courage” - My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic BGM HD
“The Equestrian Pink Heart of Courage“ from the episode “Celestial Advice“ of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” (S07E01). (DOWNLOAD LINK BELOW). --Overall Comments-- And here we are again! After 7 years, MLP enters its 7th season on air, and what a way to start off! The show is doing things a little differently to start off: having two distinct, yet connected episodes to begin the season, rather than a two-parter. So, here’s we’ll be talking about just “Celestial Advice.” Twilight Sparkle realizes that Starlight Glimmer has reached a point in her friendship lessons, that it may be time to let her graduate onto her own, like Celestia once did for Twilight. She parters with her mentor to seek her opinion on the matter. While “All Bottled Up” holds a song, “Celestial Advice” is jam backed on the other side of the music aisle: the score. As we follow Twilight’s emotional rollercoaster through the decisions she must make, the music follows suit, and provides us with some absolutely beautiful cues. From gorgeous reorchestrated reprised of a few motifs from the past few seasons, to a wonderful new flashback score in “Celestia’s Story,” William Anderson and Kelly Davidson continue to provide some of the best compositions on television, and bar-none the continued best use of leitmotifs. We have a lot to cover, so lets’ dive in! --Track Specific Comments-- Starlight Glimmer is awarded the “Equestrian Pink Heart of Courage” by Princess Celestia. This track features one of two fantastic reorchestrations of motifs from past seasons. As Twilight opens the scene up with a speech, William Anderson utilizes the “More of a Teacher Than You Think” cue, which appeared first in last season’s premiere in the track of that name. It appeared at the conclusion of a few more episodes in Season 6, including at the end of the season finale. Here, Anderson has reworked that wonderful theme into a pompus march to fit the scene. It’s a wonderful little reworking of that theme into something new, and helps us pick up musically right where last season left off. As Celestia takes over the speech from Twilight, her regal leitmotif begins. We’ve heard this theme first all the way back in Season 3’s premiere episode, in the track “Passing the Test.” It’s appeared multiple times since then in Seasons 4, 5, and 6, including last season’s premiere and finale. This take on the theme features some more pronounced bass hits as she shows us the Equestrian Pink Hearts of Courage, and as the track continues, again leading to the pomp nature of the scene.
