I’m Faye Roman, your Lunt Solar Systems customer service representative. I’m standing here with our LS80 Pressure Tuned telescope. Now, when you get it out of the box, it’ll have a zoom eyepiece, diagonal, focuser, sol searcher; you can’t see it but a six inch dovetail and your pressure tuning technology on there. Now, we have it here with the B1200 but that can be upgraded to the B1800. The reason you might want to do that is if you’re planning on imaging or using binoviewers with the system, you’ll find that you’ll need a little more room to work with and the B1800 will offer you that space. The Tele Vue Sol-Searcher is a great addition as it helps you find the sun and get you aligned and viewing quickly. Now, one of the big draws of the LS80, for imaging purposes, is that we have a removable spacer ring. Now this ring is about an inch and a quarter wide. So in some applications you will need to get a little closer in. Once you remove that ring, you’ll find that you have the correct in focus to be able to focus with your camera equipment or binoviewers. The LS80 has our pressure tuning technology. Once you get it out of the box at your location, you’ll actually want to remove this knob all the way and then replace it; and now it’s reset for your viewing elevation. What’s great about our pressure tuners is they can actually go from below sea level all the way on up to 12,000 feet in range and still perform very, very well. Now, the LS80 is the beginning of our larger aperture scopes. Meaning, that you’re going to start being able to resolve richer details with the scope. Again, as we go up in aperture we will be going up in resolution. So when you’re imaging you’ll be able to tune into the finer details on this particular instrument. Now the LS80 has maintained its popularity with our customers the past couple years. We really believe this is due to the versatility when imaging. All in all, a great portable scope.
