One of the most popular IQ tests is the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS). The average (mean) IQ score is 100 and the standard deviation is 15. Only 4% of the population will have IQ scores greater than 130 or less than 70 and 68% of the population will have an IQ scores between 85 and 115.
