Today’s episode of Clevver News Feed is brought to you by the new movie The Age of Adaline – in theaters Friday. . Alright, Jessie J’s Flashlight music video is suuuuuper cute – and not only is the song beautiful and a powerful love anthem, but it’s for the Pitch Perfect 2 soundtrack and that makes us pretty darn happy. Our first highlight is the sheer fact that this is from Pitch Perfect 2 so we get lots of movie footage, yay! 2 – what about when we get to see Rebel Wilson tickle Anna Kendrick – Yes, I just said their real names - or at 3 – it’s the pillow fight moment. Guys, I’m pretty sure this ONLY happens in the movies, but still it’s fun to see. Number 4 – we love that Jessie J herself is so on point. Her leather shorts are trendy, her hair must have gotten trimmed 4x while on set to maintain the straight cut and her nails are completely on point. 5 – what about the mini music video storyline?! Ya know, a couple breaks up at the beginning – but that’s not the highlight, no way, it’s at the end when Jessie J helps the two come back together. I mean, they’ve been upset all day and who doesn’t love a happy ending?! You’re evil if you don’t. PS, at our number 6 Flashlight highlight, I’m stoked that we get to see the hot guy help out the nerd, after accidentally running into him and knocking down his books – as he should as a human being – but sometimes our fictional characters, especially “the hot guy” turns out to be a jerk… not this time! At 7, we get a party scene AND then 8 - a more intimate bonfire scene… both are always fun and at 9 – what about seeing the new character Emily – played by Hailee Steinfeld – record in the studio with Beca. Can’t wait to hear what they worked out. Number 10 on our highlights list, we get quick snippets of the Barden Bellas in a big stage performance. YES! And finally, at 11, it’s all about the FLASHLIGHTS!! Since the name of the song is Flashlight it only makes sense that we get this awesome set of shots with darkness and a bunch of flashlights in the background as Jessie J sings it out. Love it.
