Pecha Kucha Talk - Statis Beatnik. Statis finds himself at the iconic De La Warr pavillion in Bexhill to give a Pecha Kucha presentation. These high speed talks originated in Japan and are kept as succinct as possible by giving the speakers only 20 slides and a strict 20 seconds for each slide before it automatically progresses to the next. This ensures each speech last precisely 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Presenters can choose to talk on any subject but many focus on creative endeavours. Statis used his presentation, Thus Spake Statis Beatnik, to investigate the past and future of digital media from a moral, ethical and philosophical stance. The event was curated by Sweet & Dandy as part of the larger Coastal Currents Art Festival which happens every year in Hastings and the surrounding area.
