Kathrein MSK 33 showing Eutelsat 5 West A (5.0W) at 11509MHz - DVB Newtec 8PSK Modulation HD

Eutelsat 5 West A is transmitting a transponder with DVB Newtec Modulation: 11509 MHz - Horizontal - SR: 27500 - FEC: 2/3 The Kathrein MSK 33 TM only features QPSK modulation for the satellite tuner, so no lock is possible. Still, this meter has the best constellation diagram I have seen so far, which works in real time and allows to confirm the presence of some kind of signal. The same transponder was analyzed with other, more modern, professional meters equiped with DVB-S2 tuners and still they could not lock the signal. Interestingly they could not even render the constellation diagram! Cheers, vma
