OnePlus 5 vs Onplus 3T: Comparison [Hindi हिन्दी] HD
The brand which birthed the term “flagship killer”,OnePlus has now announced its latest mercenary – the OnePlus 5. While the phone’s predecessor, the OnePlus 3T (review),boasted a killer package in an aesthetically-pleasing garb, the brand has taken things a step ahead with the latest offering. But the real question is whether the OnePlus 5 is a massive upgrade over the OnePlus 3T. So without further ado, let’s pit them against each other. When you take a look at any handset, the first thing to notice is the display, and both handsets share the same 5.5-inch AMOLED panels with full HD resolution. OnePlus is sticking to 1080p resolution as it claims that 2K displays don’t offer any noticeable improvement, and the lower pixel density is also easy on the battery. Moving on, the selfie camera on the OnePlus 5 is the same 16MP unit that featured on last year’s OnePlus 3T, but it comes with the addition of autofocus. Expectedly, the Dash Charging feature has been retained, ensuring that the device can be juiced up quickly. Additionally, both smartphones feature a unibody metal construction. Refined design While we did say that the two siblings aren’t different in terms of the design, there are some subtle changes. The OnePlus 5 happens to be the slimmest offering from the brand with a girth of just 7.25mm. The biggest change can be seen on the rear panel, which is now a uniform smooth panel since antenna lines have been moved to the top and bottom edge. However, the sleeker design comes with a cost as the OnePlus 5 has a slightly smaller 3,300mAh unit, compared to 3,400mAh on OnePlus 3T. That said, the battery backup of the two phones should be similar. Loaded internals Last year’s OnePlus 3T featured the Snapdragon 821 SoC mated to 6GB RAM, which was the latest and greatest at that point. Carrying forward the legacy, the OnePlus 5 is equipped with the newest Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM. One-upping the competition, the brand has also launched a variant with 8 gigs of RAM, which is a rarity on smartphones. Rear camera(s) OnePlus has brought its A-game this time around with a 16MP f/1.7 + 20MP f/2.6 dual camera module on the OnePlus 5, which is accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. The sensors work in tandem like the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, offering 2x optical zoom and a portrait mode. In comparison, the 3T featured a 16MP unit on the back with an LED flash. The brand further claims that the OnePlus 5 can take in 34 percent more light and focus 40 percent faster than OnePlus 3T. Considering this, the latest offering from the company has definitely taken the imaging to a whole new level. It is now clear that the OnePlus 5 carries forward the legacy of its predecessor quite well, by offering flagship specs at an attractive price (roughly Rs 31,000 after converting the international pricing of $479). However, if you already own a OnePlus 3T, then the biggest upgrade for you would be in terms of the camera performance of the OnePlus 5. If y
