InterBee 2014- Canon 8K Lens At InterBee in Japan Canon were showing off a prototype 8K Cinema servo lens. Featuring a 19.7 to 138mm focal range it can resolve an image circle of 7,630x4,320. Based on Canon’s own theory on optics and design, Canon has improved the picture quality of the lenses by introducing new technologies and optical materials. In 2009 Canon succeeded in developing a 10 x zoom lens using an 8K SHV (Super Hi-Vision) system. Now in 2014 Canon has developed a 7x zoom lens. According to Canon there is no loss of resolution or optical quality regardless of the focal length. Canon says the lens provides a natural and high quality look.
