Test #38 Sony NEX 5N - Zoom H1 "dead cat" - Tote Katze HD

Wind beaufort 2-3, no software wind filter active, audio level auto The Zoom H1 is a high qualitative sound recorder which I use as external microphone for video recording with the NEX 5N, because there is no 3,5mm Klinken connector. Otherwise you will be able to connect many other external video microphones. For room inside recoding you can use the foam material ball on the Zoom H1, outside wind recording only with a dead cat. I recommend the Gutmann "dead cat". The best suppression of wind noise is too use the Zoom H1 Low Pass Filter additionally to the dead cat. The test result is: - Sony NEX 5N internal micros only minor quality, no bass, few mid & few volume, outside not usable, wind clipping noises at low wind level already, speech cannot be heard. - Sony NEX 5N with Rycote Micro Windjammers, perfect for windy outside recording at low wind level, when the quality is not in focus, no clipping, speech can be heard - Zoom H1 perfect use for every situation, very sensitive, high audio quality, inside use with foam material ball, outside only with dead cat for windy days and low pass filter activation for heavy wind. Recording of sounds in front of the camera and not of the total surrounding. You get tones which are you never recorded before with the internal micros. Die NEX 5N besitzt keinen 3,5mm Klinkenstecker, ansonsten könnte man viele andere externe Video Mikrophone nutzen. Für Innenraumaufnahmen kann man den Schaumstoff Ball benutzen, für Aussenaufnahmen mit Wind nur die Tote Katze. Ich empfehle die Gutmann Tote Katze. Die beste Unterdrückung der Windgeräusche erhält man wenn man zusätzlich den Low Pass Filter aktiviert. Das Testresultat ist: - Sony NEX 5N interne Mikros haben nur geringe Qualität, kein Bass, wenig Mitten und wenig Volumen, Wind Clipping bei geringen Windstärken, Sprache ist nicht mehr hörbar - Sony NEX 5N mit Rycote Micro Windjammers, sehr gut für Aussenaufnahmen bei wenig Wind, wenn die Qualität nicht wichtig ist, Sprache ist gut hörbar - Zoom H1 sehr gut für jede Situation, sehr empfindlich (hier muss ich noch experimentieren mit dem manuellen Levels), hohe Audioqualität, innen zu nutzen mit dem Schaumstoffball, aussen nur mit der Toten Katzen bei stärkerem Wind. Aufnahme erfolgt vor der Kamera und nicht die komplette Kameraumgebung. Man erhält Töne, die man vorher nie aufgenommen hat mit den internen Mikros.
