You will need to bring in some kind of dry tinder to get a fire going. I have used dryer lint and vaseline and that works just fine but its messy and takes a while. This is all natural wood fiber that burns easy, the tin has plenty of tinder in it and also has the ability to seal with a rubber ring to make it water tight.
