Attach the extension tube to the delivery cartridge in the orientation shown. Make sure the connection is secure. Place the funnel on the mixing unit. Pour the bone cement powder into the mixing unit and then add the liquid monomer. Remove the funnel. Screw the mixing blade assembly on the mixing unit, turning it clockwise to secure. Hold the mixing unit in one hand while simultaneously pumping and twisting the handle. To ensure thorough blending, continually twist while pumping the entire stroke length. Straight up and down movements will only pack down the cement. Observe the mixture as blending occurs. Blending takes approximately 30 seconds. Detach the vacuum tube from the unit. Press and rotate the blade release button. Withdraw the plunger shaft from the mixing unit. The blade will remain in the mixer. Turn the delivery cartridge with extension tube counterclockwise onto the mixing unit. Transfer the cement from the mixing unit to the delivery cartridge by twisting the outer body of the unit clockwise. As you transfer cement from the mixing unit, observe that cement moves down the nozzle and into the tube. At a certain point, you will hear a click.
