Pest Bird Control at a Western Washington Dairy in 2017 HD
I shoot farm pests in Western Washington state, mostly rats and pest birds. While I have a pretty good night vision video setup for rats, I am experimenting with setting up a video system for pest bird shooting. This video was recorded on an HD camcorder mounted on top of the rifle scope. I obviously still have to resolve some stability issues but the video does give a sense of what pest bird shooting is like at a dairy or other farm setting. The shooting in this video was done using a Benjamin Marauder .22 PCP air rifle and a Benjamin Woods Walker .22 pistol/carbine. Both weapons are very effective for pest bird control with the Woods Walker shooting about 700 fps and the Marauder rifle shooting about 875 fps. For those of you who are concerned about safety, all of our shooting angles are carefully checked so no people, livestock, or equipment is at risk. Safety first, always! I especially enjoy taking my grandson on some shooting expeditions and using the opportunity to teach proper gun safety, accuracy, hunting ethics and skills, and mostly the fun. Jess
