MAMA is a song that hits very close to home for me. Domestic Abuse and Gender based violence is a HUGE issue worldwide, especially in Papua New Guinea where, due to customs, beliefs and corruption, a lot of people turn a blind eye to this very serious and heartbreaking issue. It is time to BREAK THE SILENCE! It is time to END THE VIOLENCE! May we learn to RESPECT our mothers, PROTECT our girls, EDUCATE our boys and may we have the courage to SPEAK UP against an unjust SYSTEM that has failed so many of us. This song is dedicated to everyone out there who has been subjected to and affected by Domestic Violence.
