Digital Matte Painting from the Group known as "- Year 2 Sydney Screen and Media HD

A static backplate was shot on HD1080 specs behind the ABC building in Chinatown. This Digital matte painting incorporates 3D elements such as Monorail, track and Pylons. Artists include: Meaghan Leonard, Lawrence Li, Brian Carlin, Martin Alvarez, James Bleakley, Thanh Dinh. Note that this is work-in-progress. We are currently exploring the finer details of compositing. We are looking at further integrating the 2D & 3D elements through use of atmospheric haze, light flickers & subtle movement. We are currently examining the finer points of motion blur & camera movement. Other considerations are the addition of city trash & clutter, banners and signage with movement through the Z depth.
