The Banana Pi 2 offers a much larger range of hardware features with additions such as on board WiFi, on board mic, IR sensor and much more. The Raspberry Pi 2 still boasts some pretty good hardware but lacks in a few areas such as Ethernet speed, USB ports and a few and a few other things. The software for both the Raspberry Pi and Banana Pi (bpi m2) is pretty much the same. They offer very similar operating systems and will run basically the same things. However, I did find that the bpi m2 lacked the support the Raspberry Pi currently has. Again the projects that you can do with either device is pretty much the same. You can do some pretty cool stuff as you have already seen done on this channel. If you’re looking at the prices the banana pi sits at about $50 USD whilst the Raspberry will set, you back about $35 USD. These only include the board so you will need to remember that you still need to buy a power supple and micro SD card before you can get started.
