Bluebell Railway | Branch Line Event | May 2017 HD

14.05.2017
With the emphasis on smaller locomotives for the Branch Line Weekend event including no fewer than 4 former SE&CR engines, this was filmed on Saturday 13th May at and near Horsted Keynes. The range of 7 locos in steam, including 1 visitor, provided a variety of passenger services plus shunting demonstrations and brake van rides. The unfortunate failure of Q-class No. 30541 on the eve of the event meant its replacement by Class 5MT - 73082 "Camelot". Weather conditions meant another windy day at the railway but at least it didn’t rain! Locos in steam: LNWR Coal Tank 0-6-2T No. 1054 (visitor, courtesy of B.L.S. at K&WVR) SECR H Class 0-4-4T No. 263 SECR C Class 0-6-0 No. 592 SECR P Class 0-6-0T No. 178 SECR P Class 0-6-0T No. 323 “Bluebell” BR Standard Class 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73082 “Camelot” Dorking Greystone Lime Company 0-4-0T No.3 "Captain Baxter" Thanks to all at the Bluebell Railway for making this such an interesting event. All sequences were filmed from areas with public access and without trespass on railway or private property.
