Shark Week notwithstanding, the Jaws movie was the first film that really solidified our fear of the great white shark, and the sequels that followed it, Jaws 2, Jaws 3D, and Jaws the Revenge, not to mention the thousands of shark videos that have sprung up in their wake, have only fueled the feeding frenzy. The kill count increased over the series, but despite all the Jaws kills, we can’t help but feel the triumb when we see Jaws explode in the Jaws ending, and the subsequent Jaws kills and Jaws deaths throughout the series Every individual Jaws scene, Jaws clip, or Jaws trailer can’t truly capture the terror of the seminal shark movie. The Jaws shark is actually a misnomer, since there were different sharks throughout the series, not to mention the Jaws game and Jaws the Ride at Universal Studios.
