12 Dupre - Cortege et Litanie HD

Lenten Organ Music 2019 Llandaff Cathedral’s Director of Music, Stephen Moore, will perform one piece of organ music for each of the 40 days of Lent. Tuesday 19th March Marcel Dupre - Cortege et Litanie Cortege et Litanie began life as a work for small orchestra, written in 1922. Dupre later transcribed the work for organ whilst on one of his American tours. It starts off with a stately procession before a second theme is introduced and developed. The two themes are later combined as the piece grows to an exciting conclusion. Performed live on the IVP 2010/13 Nicholson Organ at Llandaff Cathedral. This is a live recording so there may be some blemishes and background noise.
