A registered apprentice is employed in the trade and registered by his or her employer with the regional apprenticeship office. CAREER PROFILE: Focus on engine and fuel systems, brakes, drivelines, suspension, air conditioning, electrical and electronic systems and/or diagnostic services; Employed by motor vehicle dealers, garages, service centres and automotive specialty shops; Inspect, diagnose, repair and service mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of cars, buses and trucks; and Perform major repair and replacement of mechanical units on newly assembled motor vehicles.
