Crossing the newer bridge of Pont de la Caille, Haute-Savoie (Upper Savoy), France, while driving from Cruseilles to Allonzier la Caille. The 2 bridges span the Gorge of the Usses. The newer bridge, the one the car uses in this video, is known as Pont Caquot or Pont Neuf and was built in 1925. It has a span of 138 meters and it is part of Route Départementale 1201 (D1201), the road that connects Geneva with Annecy. On the right, parallel to the newer bridge, the old one is visible. It is known as Charles-Albert bridge and it was built by king Charles Albert of Sardinia. Its height is 142 meters and its length is 194 meters. It was opened to the public on 11 July 1839. Cruseilles is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France and has a population of 4.315 people. Allonzier la Caille is a commune of 1.846 inhabitants and is situated in the same department and region of France.
