DJ KITSUNE - RED BULL THRE3STYLE GERMAN NATIONAL FINALS SET 2014 HD

This is my set of the Red Bull Thre3Style German National Finals 2014, as performed live in Munich, Germany on Aug 22. It took me about 3-4 weeks of preparation and practise, although minor parts of the set base on wordplay routines that I have been using for my regular club sets of the past years. My overall approach of the whole Red Bull Thre3Style competition was pretty simple and yet, challenging at the same time: I wanted to include everything that I consider being state of the art of djing in 2014 (i.e. wordplay, toneplay, scratching, juggling/backspins, blends, live remixes, etc) and still use songs and styles (from at least 3 genres - hence Thre3Style) that represent my personal style and musical taste, all of this within 15 minutes of course. The big majority of the songs I used are the regular single/album versions of the songs that you can find on iTunes or anywhere else. I was contemplating about preparing more „Thre3Style“-friendlier edits to minimize potential sources of mistakes, but I decided to go the more demanding/difficult route for various reasons.
