Telefunken T9U. The Secret revealed of the infamous T9 studio maschine

Almost impossible to find legendary studio recorder from Telefunken. The T9 (U for Umshaltbar) is from 1949-50. comes with 2 speeds allready, 15ips and 30ips! This high speed of 76cm per sec was still very common to achive a better fidelity up to 15-or 16khz, but nowadays eating too much tape. Mainly trough Maino Remmers I heard about this rare baby being for sale in the neighbourhood of Oberhausen, near the dutch border. All is working fine, and that is very rare thing being over 60 years old workhorse. sadly the original tube amps are not there anymore, but for a nice sub there have been two M10 V396/ V397 transistor amps installed. Sounding even better I think. Head block has been converted to proper STEREO HEADS. Any tape head wanna battle this one? |Enjoy the footage!
