THE AQUARIUM | Panasonic GH5 4K Footage HD

FILM JOURNAL 07. My wife and baby daughter have been away on holiday for over a week in the UK, and my son and I have been missing them. So we decided to go to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California to spend some father/son time, and also make a FILM JOURNAL dedicated to them. Filmed with the Panasonic GH5 in 4K 24fps 10-bit 4:2:2 and 4K 60fps 8-bit 4:2:0. All handheld. Stabilization was amazing, but low light was a bit challenging. Autofocus was okay, but not nearly as good as Canon’s Dual Pixel AF or Sony’s Contrast/Phase Detection AF. The 4K 10-bit footage was challenging to edit because you either needed to make proxies or transcode the 10-bit footage into ProRes 422 HQ first. Overall, I loved shooting with the GH5 because of the overall image quality it produced. Graded with my FILM JOURNAL | Cine Vintage LUT, which you can download below!
