DaneWithADrone - Iceland - Fjallsárlón glacier lake [4k] HD
This is my first video from my recent trip to Iceland. I applied for permission to fly at some of the glaciers in Vatnajökull National Park and was fortunate to get a permit. These huge ice monsters are indeed an amazing experience. To listen to the cracking of ice from deep inside this huge mass of ice is awe inspiring. The Fjallsarlon glacier lake is located at the Southern tip of one of Europes largest glaciers. The entire glacier covers 8 percent of the land area of Iceland. I was lucky with the weather although the wind was fairly strong but consistant in strength. I had to fly around 1 km from take off to the shelf of the glacier to get the shots and back in head wind. I had to use an ND16 filter because the ice was so bright. The Phantom 4 managed this flight with no problem. It truely is a marvellous machine. There will be a lot more footage from Iceland in the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned. Enjoy! PS: To those of you who have asked: Yes, I always shoot in 4k (UHD) and publish in 4k (UHD). Footage is 30 fps from the camera and the shutter speed is 60. Camera profile is D-Cinelike. Color grading etc is done afterwards in Vegas 15. _ Music by The Epidemic Sound (http://www.epidemicsound.com/) Video edited entirely with Sony Vegas Pro 15 Edit ----------------------------- This flight complies with the rules set forth by The Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority for UAV flights within Denmark.
