iMac G3 700mhz Snow SE

This is an imac g3 snow with a max of 1 gig of ram, 160 gig hd, and a super drive. This and some of the original g4 models only 127.87 gigs of a hard drive is recognized. The os is Tiger, 10.4.11 and it runs well on this operating system. This model of iMac came out in July of of 2001 and was discontinued 6 months later when in January of 2002 the iMac G4 came out. The iMac lost its crt monitor and was replaced with a flat panel screen compacting the size down. It is amazing how far we have come in such a short time. This is to show there is still some life in these old imacs. I have of this date 05/08/10 added a bluetooth D-link usb dongle to enable use of a bluetooth mighty mouse and full keyboard. They seem to work well and with only having to remember to turn them on before starting the mac to make sure they link up. New update 08/11/10: Decided to test our a usb "n" 300 mb/s dongle on this mac to see if it would work and yes, it does work. I can now reach out further and see wpa2 encripted networks. Great deal on the item at meritline.com. Works on mac and pc. Last update 07/24/11: Installed an 115 gb solid state drive from OWC. Cuts boot time by almost half. When the computer finally dies I will use it in another computer or external drive case. OK, this is the last update to the old machine. I took out the SSD since it made the make act buggy and put back the 7,200 rpm 160 gb hard drive, but it only sees 127.89 gb of the drive. I purchased off ebay an isub to go with the internal Harmon Kardon SRS speakers in the iMac. This way I will always make a great juke box even if it cannot get around on the internet to well any more. Last update for iMac: 04/27/12 It will sit on my dresser now until I sell it or find a better place for it some where else. 02/06/14 update: I reinstalled the 120 gb SSD and added an iSight camera. The crt is starting to go, but after it warms up it functions and is almost as good as when it was new. I am currently looking for another 700 mhz imac G3 to transfer upgrades to. I do not place much hope in finding one in better physical condition than mine.
