Portal in portal

30.04.2011
Via PC Gamer ( http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/04/28/and-in-other-pc-gaming-news-73/ ), I discovered this hypothesis ( http://imgur.com/ZDvCc ) as to what would happen if you moved a portal through a portal. I decided to find out. Preliminary analysis of the result suggests that neither the second portal nor its portal-bearing surface entering the first portal are tunnelled through 3-space as an inert, non-portal-bearing object would be. It appears that both the second portal and its surface are being tunnelled into a higher-dimension hyperspace, resulting in both appearing to be truncated in 3-space. Neither is actually being truncated, as can be seen with the portal-detecting augmented reality overlay, which continues to show the second portal as intact.
