An ancient noise emanates from points unknown, and can only be heard by beings of a higher consciousness. The Doctor hears it and a few minutes later he is staring out at the charred remains of a peaceful planet with his companion Jessica Ridgemond. In order to prevent this from happening again The Doctor and Jessica may have to sacrifice more than just a weekend.
