B.R.E.A.D is one way we, as a community, can work together toward economic justice. Nothing is more radical than believing in someone’s dream and investing in their potential. This is especially true when you believe in the fullest potential of someone who has been marginalized in our society. So often low-income, communities of color are viewed as broken and in need of fixing. Our potential has been rendered invisible. Benoni Tagoe, the business developer and producer of the popular web series, The Mis-Adventures of Awkward Black Girl, has created his own web series, The Bizz Plan, geared towards urban millennials. His goal is to make financial literacy not only accessible, but relevant and relatable. Come hear Benoni’s story of the success of Awkward Black Girl and his personal mission to inspire and educate others to remain consistent as they persevere to achieve their dreams.
