Super Star Teacher of the Month - Patricia Lytle, Riverwood Elementary HD

Town of Clayton TV loves to tag along when the Clayton Chamber of Commerce surprises Johnston County teachers with a Super Star Teacher of the Month award, PLUS goodies for the classroom! For the month of November, they surprised Ms. Patricia Lytle from Riverwood Elementary with a goodie bag from Dylan’s Unique Gifts & Weddings located on Main Street in Downtown Clayton! Ms. Lytle has a unique ability to instill the love of learning in her students. She makes her science and social studies lessons innovative and engaging so that students always want to know more. Recently she gave up her planning for the week to share a cool science experiment with all seven of the 1st grade classrooms. Ms. Lytle is a leader in the classroom; the School Improvement Team Chairperson; assists in setting up before and after school clubs; and was a semi-finalist in the 2016-17 Teacher of the Year for Johnston County. SUPER STAR teachers demonstrate excellence and leadership in their classroom, creativity and motivation of their students and show a high level of commitment to our community.
