J. S. Bach – Kantate BWV 26 Ach wie flüchtig, ach wie nichtig
"Oh how fleeting, oh how worthless" (BWV 26) is a church cantata of Johann Sebastian Bach. He composed the choral cantata in 1724 in Leipzig for the 24th Sunday after Trinitatis and performed it on 19 November 1724 for the first time. It is based on the hymn by Michael Franck (1652). The cantata is set for four soloists, soprano, alto, tenor and bass, four-part choir, horn to amplify the choral melody, flauto traverso, three oboes, two violins, viola and basso continuo. 1st Coro: Oh how fleeting, oh how worthless 2.
