Nowadays, after 30 years (and counting) a lot of people is trying with big success to arrange this beautiful groovy song for fingerstyle percussive guitar. There are beautiful versions by Adam rafferty, Alex Misko and Calum Graham (HarpGuitar and voice) which really stretch the technical and expressive boundaries of our instrument. Let’s go to see how the bass/drums riff is made! Of course just a guitar, just our hands! To play this riff you need to play AT THE SAME TIME a bass, an essential percussive click, and those moving chords. So let’s see what you need in your tool box: 1 Bass+Click (see my second lesson of this course) it means: playing where needed the bass AT THE SAME TIME with the slight percussion we call Click (X on the tab) 2 index, medium and ring finger playing the chords even on the “up” between the 2nd and 3rd beat of the measure 3 Meanwhile, the thumb is playing the bass riff /of course with the help of some hammer-on and pull-off) keep on playin’ and for any question contact me on www.paolosereno.com or subscribe to my Youtube Channel to get free detailed lessons on this arrangement and style. ---------------------------------------------------- Resta in contatto con MusicOff! http://www.musicoff.com http://forum.musicoff.com http://www.youtube.com/user/MusicOffCommunity http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=MusicOffCommunity http://www.facebook.com/MusicOffCommunity
