HF QRP SYSTEM MOUNTED ON A BANNER HOLDER - 3 Watts QRP DX TO 9A209A In CROATIA
HF QRP SYSTEM MOUNTED ON A BANNER HOLDER . Elecraft KX3 and a AlexLoop Walkham Magnetic Loop antenna mounted on a banner holder. The portable system (antenna and radio) is mounted in only 2 minutes, The banner alluminum backbone is used to support on the top the AlexLoop Walkham antenna and a plastic kitchen plate used as a convenient radio support and table to log the QSOs. The tube is also used to quick fix, a dual clock showing local and UTC time, a SD card mini wide angle video and audio recorder, a Motorola Handsfree amplified Loudspeaker, a powerfull flashlight, and a 5 inches computer fan used to blow during hot summer days. This video shows a recorded DX made to Croatia with only 3 watts. The video was taken by the mini video recorder that stays engaged on the Banner Holder tube to make a video recording as easy and fast as possible. The Elecraft KX3 was powered by its own internal recchargeable batteries ( 9.5 volts). I have tried with great sucess a mini multimedia electrect mic that keeps in place by its goose neck. The transmissom is activated pressing the XMT and the bottom left of the Elecraft KX3. I have already made a mike hanger for the Elecraft KX3 original mike, but this solution is very interesting and simple to use field operation. I hope everybody can enjoy this video. I am sorry because my English speach on this video is wrost then ever. 73 PY1AHD ALEX alexloopdotcom
