Liszt (1811 – 1886) Tekinskii Freski, C. Nurymov (1940-1993) Biography: Anna Billingsley is a trained classical concert pianist and experienced educator. She is currently a doctoral student of piano performance at George Mason University, studying under Dr. Anna Balakerskaia, and instructs keyboard classes. She started her music career as a student in a special school for the musically gifted children in the former Soviet Union and earned a Master’s Degree in piano performance from the National Conservatory of Turkmenistan. She later earned a postgraduate performance degree from the Peter Cornelius Conservatory and a Bachelors in Music Education at the Johannes Guttenberg University of Mainz, Germany, studying on a full DAAD international scholarship. Anna has performed in venues large and small across Europe, Asia, and America. Her repertoire is both deep and wide, including everything from classical to modern pieces. She has been awarded and widely praised in the press for performance excellence and public service. She has decades of experience teaching students of various ages in both group and individual settings. She has served as a member of the faculty and management at numerous music schools. She has a great passion for performance as well as education, implementing the methodologies and techniques she has learned and perfected over her extensive career in Europe and the US.
