2009 Chrysler Town & Country Rear Tailgate Panel and Wiper Arm Removal This video addresses the issue of a broken rear/tailgate wiper arm. In this example the metal housing inside the wiper arm broke free from the plastic casing. Attempts to remove it determined metal was seized to the metal rod so we ultimately removed the wiper motor to work on it without the chance of damaging the window. THANKS!!!! To remove the inside panel from the tailgate: 1.) Remove the 4 screws inset across the bottom of the door. 2.) The remainder of the door is attached via plastic panel fasteners. Appply pressure to pop the bottom third free. 3.) Remove the power wide from the tailgate light. It is tricky to get to so if you pop the white plastic casing of the light free from the panel, you can let it fall through the panel and hang. This will aloow you better access to unplug it. 4.) Apply pressure to pop the remainder of the panel free. To remove the wiper motor 1.) Unplug power supply 2.) Remove 3 visible nuts 3.) The motor will fall free from the tailgate.
