This new APU from AMD provides the perfect solution for budget gaming. With a solid Ryzen 3 CPU and Vega graphics this chip has outdone expectations by some margin. 4 cores, with solid single threaded performance makes this a great choice! For the motherboard in this system I chose the ASUS B350M-E. This black and red themed motherboard not only looks superb, but supports overclocking, good expansion, USB 3 gen 2 and an M.2 drive slot. At an affordable price tag, and with rave reviews you can’t go too far wrong here. For the RAM in this build I opted for 2 x 4GB dims of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 memory. Fast, dual channel DDR4 memory is the best bet for an APU build, given an APUs further reliance on system DRAM. Overall, this 8GB kit is the perfect choice for this budget 2018 gaming pc build. For the storage in this build I opted for a 1TB Seagate Barracuda hard drive. With a 7200RPM speed, it’s as fast as most hard drives get, with over 1000GB of storage for Steam games, music and movies. I’ve had great experiences with these drives, in terms of reliability, and they tend to be slightly cheaper than their Western Digital counterparts. For the penultimate part in this build, the case, Cooler Master’s new Masterbox Q300L is a great choice. With a basic design, and great ventilation it helps to keep thermals and prices low. You get 1 120mm fan included, with support for upto 4 more, and USB 3 on the front panel. The final part in today’s $400 Gaming PC build is the Thermaltake 500W TR2. Part of their smart range, this affordable power supply boasts an 80+ efficiency rating and non modular design, in the standard ATX form factor. Affordable and with plenty of headroom for future upgrades! Overall this $400 Gaming PC build for 2018 is a perfect choice for the budget-concious gamer. With CS:GO, Fortnite, Overwatch, GTA V, PUBG & more all working really well! Full $400 Gaming PC Parts List: CPU:
