Parent Writes About Indian High School Dear Loy, Can’t tell you how pleased I was to see your 2 videos on IHS Dubai finally exposing the greed and corruptIon that have been rampant in this so called ‘not-for-profit’ school for the last 15 years and it was unbelievable that it was being done so openly & flagrantly without anyone (especially the trustees) turning a blind eye to it. I just want to add some additional points to the issue of books being written by the CEO and his family (which the school is forced to buy)which has been going on for the last almost 10-12 years: 1) The books were/are not actually written by the CEO or his family members. Only their names are put as the Authors for the sake of royalty. 2) The books are actually written by ghost writers who are various subject teachers of the school who dare not refuse the CEO. 3) These are the so-called best teachers of the particular subject. Since book-writing takes time, it is done at the cost of classroom teaching and so students are deprived of much-needed teaching time. 4) Instead of money for book writing they are given promotions and positions even if they don’t have the required qualities for promotion....... 3 even got positions of Principal. 5) Many of these ghost writers are kept as staff even long after the retirement age...... some of them are 67-70 years even though the official retirement age is 60 Years. Regarding the issue of parents being afraid to report the matter or protest openly against these things because the CEO or Chairman are close to people in power is all bunkum. These guys are NOT close to anyone in power. They only go around trying to lick the boots of KHDA & Indian Consulate by organizing events and inviting the heads of these organizations as Chief Guests to please them and show to the people that they are close to them. If it comes to exposing their corrupt practices none of these powerful persons will support them. The other reason for having all these high profile functions organized by the CEO is to keep the Chairman & Trustees engaged & happy for all the publicity it generates and keep them diverted & distracted from the corrupt and unethical practices going on in the school. It’s a pity what values young & impressionable minds studying the school are imbibing seeing the leader of the school resorting to such unethical practices and rampant misuse of position and authority. In all fairness, if the CEO was a man of any character he should have himself stepped down after your 2 videos. Not only is he not stepping down, even the Trustees are not taking any action against the CEO for reasons unknown, except unless their value-System and ethical standards are equally poor. They are trying to brush the whole issue under the carpet hoping that it will die down with time. Truly it seems like Kalyug.......
