Printable Recipe: http://www.sruthiskitchen.com/2012/08/16/chapathi/ Chapathi : Introduction Serves - 4 to 6 Makes - 14 Chapathis Ingredients Whole wheat flour - 2 3/4 cups Oil - 3 Tbsp Salt - to taste Water - 200 to 250 ml as required Procedure : Step 1 : In a bowl, add flour, salt and oil. Step 2 : Mix well till theoil is well incorporated with the flour. Step 3 : Add warm water slowly and form a smooth but stiff dough. Step 4 : Coat this dough ball with two drops of oil and cover the dough and let it sit for atleast 30 min. Step 5 : Make small ball out of the dough and take one ball, dip into the dry flour, roll it into a small roti. Step 6 : Heat a pan, add the roti, the pan shoul be very hot while you add the roti. Step 7 : While small bubbles are shown on the upper side flip the roti to another side and cook for 30 secs, and flip back to another side. Step 8 : Toast the roati by pressing the bubbles with the spatula without breaking them. Step 9 : If needed add some oil on both the sides of the roti. Step 10 : Serve hot with any curry. Enjoy!!! Tips 1 Always try to use chakki fresh atta to get soft rotis 2 The dough prepared using yort and milk instead of water makes them still soft and can stay fresh for even a week when wrapped in aliminium foil. 3 Rotis freeze well.
