Joho, Sonko differ publicly over land issues at the Coast

Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho and Nairobi senator Gedion Mbuvi alias Sonko engaged in a public war of words infront of President Kenyatta during the issuing of title deeds to Waitiki farm residents, when Mbuvi alleged that Mombasa governor is shielding land grabbers in Coast region and that he is not genuinely interested in helping the squatters. Joho had also accused President Kenyatta of excluding him during his stay in Mombasa, saying it was only fair for the governor to be notified of such high power delegation visits beforehand . However the tough talking Sonko told off Joho saying that he had no respect for the head of state.
